Luxury family holiday cottage close to beaches, great pubs, Titchwell RSPB Reserve and the lovely villages of Thornham, Brancaster, Brancaster Staithe, Morston, Blakeney, Wiveton, Cley etc. Dog friendly.
Our well equipped, spacious cottage is within walking distance of the fantastic beach at Brancaster (see photo-we were having a picnic and a game of cricket on the beach at sunset August 2015). It is a very short walk from the Ship Inn and the village shop. A stroll takes you through a great play park & tennis courts, along the marshes to the beach at Brancaster.
Brancaster is famous for its beautiful beach and RSPB Titchwell bird and nature reserve (www.rspb.org.uk/reserves/guide/t/titchwellmarsh/index.aspx), sailing and the Royal West Norfolk golf course. At nearby Brancaster Staithe you will find the White Horse and Jolly Sailors pubs, the Sailing Club, petrol station/convenience store and the hugely popular Deepdale cafe.
Burnham Market, voted one of the best villages in England, is a short drive away. Along the coast from Hunstanton in the west to Cley in the east are vast, sandy beaches (notably Holkham with the fantastic Victoria pub nearby) as well as creeks, marshes, dunes and pine woods. Thistlewood Cottage is within easy reach of Pensthorpe, previously home to BBC's Springwatch (www.pensthorpe.com).
